6 practical tips for daily maintenance of bulldozers

Release time: 2020-06-24 11:43:45 Source: Bulldozer

bulldozers are important infrastructure engineering equipment. The general working environment is harsh. Bulldozer drivers are very important for the daily maintenance of machinery. They can not only improve the working efficiency of the equipment but also extend the service life, ensure safe and effective use of bulldozers, and prevent failures. , To extend the life of bulldozers and create more value. The following points are the most practical skills summarized by the peers in the actual operation process for your reference and learning.

bulldozer

1: : Check and adjust the crawler belt tension

If the tension of the track is excessive, the spring tension of the guide wheel acts on the track pin and the pin sleeve. The outer circle of the pin and the inner circle of the pin sleeve have always been subjected to high squeezing stress. The elastic force of the tight spring also acts on the guide wheel shaft and the sleeve, resulting in a large surface contact stress, which makes the guide wheel sleeve easy to grind into a semicircle, the track pitch is easy to elongate, and it will reduce the mechanical transmission efficiency and waste the engine. Drive wheel and track power.

If the track tension is too loose, the track is easy to separate from the guide wheel and the roller, and the track loses the correct alignment, causing the running track to fluctuate, beat, and impact, causing excessive wear on the guide wheel and the supporting wheel. Reduce service life.

How to adjust the tension of the track, by adding grease to the oil filling nozzle of the tension cylinder or releasing the grease from the oil discharge nozzle, adjust according to the standard gap of each model. When the track pitch is elongated to remove a group of track joints, the tooth surface of the drive wheel tooth surface and the pin sleeve will also be subject to abnormal wear. At this time, the method of maintaining the bulldozer should be properly handled before the meshing condition deteriorates, and the bulldozer should be maintained. Methods such as reversing the pins and pin sleeves, replacing excessively worn pins and pin sleeves, and replacing track joint assemblies.

2: Keep the position of the guide wheel centered

The position of the guide wheel is misaligned, which has a serious impact on other chassis running parts. Therefore, adjusting the gap between the guide wheel guide plate and the track frame is the main point to extend the life of the walking mechanism. When adjusting, use the gasket between the guide plate and the bearing to correct it. If the gap is large, remove the gasket; if the gap is small, add a gasket. The standard gap is 0.5 ~ 1.0mm, the allowable gap is 3.0mm. Turn the track pin and pin sleeve over at the appropriate time.

During the wear process of the track pin and the pin sleeve, the track pitch is gradually elongated, resulting in poor engagement between the drive wheel and the pin sleeve, resulting in damage to the pin sleeve and abnormal wear of the tooth surface of the drive wheel, which can cause snaking, flapping, and impact. Greatly shorten the life of the walking mechanism. When the pitch cannot be restored by adjusting the tension, the track pins and pin sleeves need to be turned over to obtain the correct track pitch. There are two methods to determine the turning of the track pin and the pin sleeve on site: one method is to check the track pitch to be elongated by 3mm; the other method is to check the outer diameter of the pin sleeve to wear 3mm.

3: Check bolts and nuts and tighten in time

When the bolts of the walking mechanism are loose, they are easily broken or lost, causing a series of failures. The following bolts should be checked for daily maintenance: the mounting bolts for the rollers and supporting wheels, the mounting bolts for the drive gears, the mounting bolts for the track shoes, the mounting bolts for the roller guards, and the mounting bolts for diagonal braces

4: Lubrication in time

The lubrication of the chassis running mechanism is very important. Many bearings of the rollers are "burned out due to lack of oil" and the payment is due to oil leakage and not discovered in time. Generally the following: there may be oil leakage in several places: due to the bad or damaged O-ring between the retaining ring and the shaft, the oil leaks from the outside of the retaining ring and the shaft; due to the poor contact of the floating seal ring or the defect of the O-ring, the secondary stop Oil leakage between the outside of the ring and the supporting wheel (supporting wheel, guide wheel, driving wheel); due to the poor O-ring between the supporting wheel (supporting wheel, guide wheel, driving wheel) and the bushing, from the bushing and Oil leaks between the rollers; oil leaks at the oil filler plug due to loose oil filler plug or damaged seat hole sealed by the tapered screw plug; oil leaks between the cover and the roller due to poor O-ring. Therefore, you should always pay attention to check the above parts, and regularly add and replace according to the lubrication cycle of each part.

 5: Check for cracks

Every day before starting work, check the chassis for cracks in the chassis walking mechanism, and repair and strengthen it in time.

6: Scale treatment

Every 600 hours, scale treatment should be performed on the diesel engine cooling system. For scale treatment, it is generally washed with acidic cleaning solution first, and then neutralized with alkaline aqueous solution. Through chemical reaction, the insoluble water scale is converted into water-soluble salts, which are eliminated with the water. In addition, if necessary, an appropriate amount of polyoxyethylene alkyl allyl ether may be added to improve the permeability and dispersibility of scale. The use temperature of acidic cleaning solution should not exceed 65 degrees. The preparation and use of the cleaning fluid can also be carried out by referring to the relevant content in the “135” series diesel engine operation and maintenance manual.

During the operation process, all drivers should also pay attention to whether there are abnormal situations in the operation of the bulldozer, such as abnormal noise, odor, vibration, etc., in order to discover problems in time and solve them in time to avoid serious consequences caused by small losses. Outweigh the gains.
