What are the precautions for safe operation of bulldozers?

Release time: 2020-08-24 17:41:45 Source: Bulldozer

Safety in production is always the first priority at all times. Any industry has its own safety guidelines. If you are a manager, you must urge employees to raise their awareness of safety, not forgetting danger, not forgetting worry, and standardizing production and construction. If you are a front-line practitioner, you should always keep your safety in mind and strive to make your work foolproof. The following are 9 safety precautions for bulldozers summarized by old operators, and share them with you!

What are the precautions for safe operation of bulldozers?

1: Matters that need to be clarified before operation. Operators must understand the topography of the operating area, the technical condition of the machinery and the requirements for the project before the operation. According to the operating procedures and the specific conditions of the operating area, when necessary, practicable safety measures must be worked out, which must be strictly followed during operation. Non-drivers are not allowed to drive bulldozers.

2: During operation, personnel are not allowed to stand on the working device, or touch pulleys, wire ropes and winch drums with their hands; it is forbidden to get on and off the vehicle while traveling, and the blade should be lowered to the ground after parking. When the bulldozer cuts the soil, attention should be paid to preventing the collapse of the cliff and the derailment of the track. During operation, maintenance work is not allowed while the machine is driving.

3: It is forbidden to work on the ground with a transverse gradient of more than 30°, it is forbidden to go uphill when the longitudinal gradient exceeds 25°, and it is forbidden to go downhill when the longitudinal gradient exceeds 35°; if it is necessary to work or drive on a slope exceeding the allowable climbing performance , Auxiliary work should be carried out first or corresponding safety measures should be taken. When pushing soil to the edge or filling deep craters or trenches on higher terrain, the blade should not extend beyond the edge of the slope. Good lighting equipment should be provided for night work. If the situation does not permit, someone should command under the vehicle and set up obvious signs in dangerous areas.

4: Do not carry out bulldozing operations in dangerous places, and do not forcefully pass through mud ditches and dams to prevent vehicles from getting stuck. It is forbidden to bulldoze down on high cliffs. The braking performance of bulldozers is poor. If you bulldoze down on high cliffs, if the vehicle cannot be stopped for a moment, it is easy to cause serious accidents such as machine damage and death. Avoid pushing deep and narrow ditch. Pushing the ditch too deep and too narrow can easily cause the sand on both sides to collapse and cause accidents. It is forbidden to work in the water. The walking device of the bulldozer has poor sealing performance and is prone to early damage and failure after water enters.

5: When the bulldozer is stuck, the wire rope shall be used to pull it out. It is forbidden to use the blade of another bulldozer to push the roof directly to prevent the vehicle from being stuck at the same time. In the process of shoveling and transporting soil, do not turn, otherwise the steering clutch and other parts will be easily damaged. Try not to raise or lower the piston in the cylinder to the extreme position.

6: During the bulldozing operation, after the blade cuts into the soil, the amount of soil eaten should be adjusted at any time according to the sound of the engine to prevent the engine from working in the case of black smoke. If there is a large resistance and cannot move, the blade should be raised in time. Do not use the method of suddenly engaging the main clutch to overcome soil resistance when the engine is rotating at a high speed; do not hit with a blade when shoveling frozen soil, pushing large rocks or felling trees.

7: When the bulldozer is launched into the water, the walking device and the chassis should be carefully checked in advance to protect it from water. The gaskets, bolts, nuts, etc. in the wetted parts should be coated with calcium-based grease, and then tightened again. The adjustment screw of the oil gauge cover must be oiled to prevent corrosion. Do not place the dispenser handle of the bulldozer in the "up" or "down" position for a long time to prevent the hydraulic hose from bursting. Do not contaminate the hydraulic hoses with fuel and acid-base materials to prevent corrosion and deterioration.

8: In deep trenches, foundation pits, and steep slopes, special personnel should be instructed, and the vertical edge height should not be greater than 2 meters.

9: When pushing house walls and enclosure walls, their height should not exceed 2.5 meters, and it is strictly forbidden to push buildings with right steel bars or reinforced soil piles connected to the foundation

The above operating specifications should be kept in mind by the operator to avoid accidents!
