2 common causes and solutions for track deviation of bulldozers

Release time: 2020-08-25 16:40:17 Source: Bulldozer

The track deviation of bulldozers is a relatively common mechanical failure. The track deviation is extremely worn to the support wheels, chain rails, and track shoes. Once a problem is found during operation, the operators should stop for inspection and repair in time to avoid small losses and large losses. The chassis parts are scrapped ahead of time, and the gain is not worth the loss. The following is one of the two reasons that cause the track deviation of the bulldozer, and the solution, the operators may wish to understand.

2 common causes and solutions for track deviation of bulldozers

1: Check the wear on both sides of the driving wheel

If the wear on both sides of the drive wheel teeth does not exceed half of the tooth thickness, you only need to check the tightness of the crawler and adjust it as required. Drive the bulldozer to a flat place, insert a spudger into the upper edge of the support wheel raceway under the track, and pry the track up for inspection. The prying height is 40 ~ 50 millimetres from the lower edge of the chain rail to the upper edge of the support wheel raceway. , First loosen the fixed nut on the fork arm, turn the adjusting screw, the screw is extended, and the track is tightened. Otherwise, it is loose. After adjustment, start the bulldozer to make the track tightness evenly distributed, and then check and adjust according to the above method. After meeting the requirements, tighten the fork-shaped fixing nut. To prevent the adjusting screw from falling out of the nut. It is required that the distance between the fork arm and the adjusting screw guide bracket shall not exceed 210 mm.

2: check and adjust the support wheel frame diagonal support: arm

The height of the upper plane of the longitudinal beam of the roller frame from the axis of the diagonal brace bearing shall be 72 ± 2 mm. The distance between the outer side of the longitudinal beam of the roller frame and the inner side of the diagonal brace bearing hole shall be 1010 mm. Use simple inspection method to select a new standard half shaft and fix it on the rear end of the outer longitudinal beam through the sliding bearing support at the outer end of the half shaft. Remove the lining tiles and install the diagonal brace bearing cover during installation and reinstallation. Whether the surface of the support bearing seat hole is parallel to the surface of the axle journal. The surrounding gap should be equal to the thickness of the lining. The two surfaces are not parallel, indicating that the symmetric center line of the support wheel frame is not perpendicular to the axis of the semi-axle, which will inevitably cause track deviation.

The adjustment method is to de-weld the diagonal brace bearing arm, and then select new lining tiles. Old tiles that are basically not worn can also be installed on the standard axle journal, cover the bearing cap, and tighten the fixing screws. Then weld the diagonal brace arm firmly to install and re-use.
