What are the skills of excavator ditching?
Release time: 2020-08-18 16:59:11 Source: Bulldozer
Trenching is one of the basic operations of excavator operators. In the process of digging trenches, many novices often encounter problems such as incomplete digging, deviation of digging, and wide and narrow trench bottoms. So what are the operating skills of ditching? The old machine hand will show you the 3 major skills of ditching
1: Riding and digging: mainly in open areas, the excavator is parked in the middle of the trench to be excavated, and the bucket is digging between the two crawlers.
2: Downside style: It refers to the narrow area of the site, like a clear water channel, the bucket only digs along one side of the track line (here you need to use the slope skills.
3: Face-to-face type: mainly for the excavation of highway culvert trenches, which means that the excavator is parked at 90 degrees to the side of the ditch (it should be noted that when the ditch is deep, the bucket cylinder may touch the side of the ditch.
Trench digging must be straight: The most basic principle of trench digging is to follow the principle of digging straight. Generally, the route of the lime trench is drawn on the construction site. The center line of the excavator chassis is aligned with the lime line, and the middle tooth of the bucket corresponds to the lime line. This way it is not easy to dig and go wrong. If there is no lime line, you can use the track to press out a connecting line first, and the traces of the track left can play the role of the lime line. The bucket movement can be adjusted according to the track marks left behind by the backward movement.
Ditching should be surface layer first: when formally excavating, take the surface layer first, and then remove the lower layer. Never dig to the end at one time. The excavation of deep trenches is especially important; when it comes to digging a trench larger than the bucket width, Dig both sides first, then the middle.
Maintain the smoothness of the slope: Many novices are not good at digging trenches, mainly because they do not have the principle of neatness, and the detailed operation needs to be further improved. From the beginning of the V-shaped trench to the end, the slope should be kept the same slope. Of course, the soil quality and the depth of the trench are different, and the slope needs to be adjusted accordingly.
Control of the bottom of the ditch: The control of the bottom of the ditch is very important. At this time, you need to use the skills of throwing and leveling. If ditching is to install water pipes for drainage, it needs to have a certain slope at the bottom; if it is a building foundation pit, the bottom is required to be level. In fact, many operators can't know the height of the bottom of the ditch. When there are surveying personnel, they can ask the construction personnel to measure with instruments and measure while digging. When you don’t have it, you can find some reference, and you should get off the car more to observe.
Once a pilot is proficient in the above skills, ditching is handy, and ditching is no longer a difficult task!
