  For a long time, the pre-tightening of the flower nut of the SD16 bulldozer was completed by simple tooling and manual. This method of operation is labor intensive and requires two people to work together. It is difficult and time-consuming to assemble, which seriously affects the operation schedule. To solve this problem, engineers designed a new type of final drive flower nut pre-tightening tooling.

  1: There is a problem with the original tooling


  On-site inspection of the pre-tightening tooling of the endless drive flower nut, and found that the operation of this tooling requires two people to complete the cooperation, and it takes time and effort. From the point of view of balanced production rhythm, the final drive flower nut pre-tensioning plan takes 3 minutes, while the actual time is 5.7 minutes. As a result, the waiting time for the next process is too long.


  2 New tooling production


  After research, it was decided to redesign a pre-tightening tooling for the final drive flower nut. The pre-tightening tool is mainly composed of a motor, a reducer, a bracket, a lifting trolley and the original tooling. The upper and lower adjustments are made through the trolley, and the original tooling is connected to the flower nut. The motor transmits the rotating power to the original tooling through the reducer, and the original tooling drives the flower The nut is pre-tightened to ensure that the workpiece runs smoothly and prevents the workpiece from bumping. The new tooling is conducive to improving assembly quality and production efficiency, reducing the labor intensity of workers, and eliminating hidden dangers to operation safety.


  According to the above improvement ideas, the engineer door drew a simple diagram of tooling. After repeated comparison and design, a simple diagram of the final drive flower nut pre-tightening tooling was finally determined.


  Performed a simple analysis according to the above simple tooling diagram, determined the motor and reducer parameters, and collected the existing materials in the factory as required. After the materials are in place, the tooling will be produced according to the ideas in the previous drawings, and the final driving flower nut will be manufactured on site.


  After the production of the new tooling was completed, a field test was first conducted to verify the feasibility and expected effect of the tooling. The results of multiple field trials show that the method of using this tool to pre-tighten the final drive flower nut tooling is feasible and the effect is obvious.


  3 Effect of new tooling


  The new final drive flower nut pre-tightening tooling is novel and unique, safe and reliable, simple and easy to implement, and strong practicality. The use of new tooling reduces the waiting time of the next process, which improves the pretensioning efficiency of the single-end final drive flower nut by 58.7%, and the assembly time has fallen below the planned time to meet the requirements of mass production. Before the improvement, the pre-tightening of the flower nut requires two people to cooperate, and now one person can complete the tooling, which greatly reduces the labor intensity of the operator.
