What causes the deformation of the cylinder head of the KLD85Z loader engine?

Release time: 2020-08-30 14:37:00 Source: Bulldozer

Various failures of the loader engine during operation are relatively common. The key is that we must accurately find the cause of the problem and deal with it in time. So as not to delay work and affect the progress of the project. Let's share the reasons and solutions for the failure of the cylinder head of a KL D85Z loader engine.

What causes the deformation of the cylinder head of the KLD85Z loader engine?

The engine cylinder head of a KL D85Z loader has been warped and deformed under high temperature, high pressure, heat stress and alternating load for a long time. The cylinder head gasket is damaged at the waterway mouth, causing the pressure of the combustion chamber to drop and the engine power Insufficient, water was leaking from the water inlet of the radiator, and the air cushion was changed twice in a row, and they were washed out again after using each for one month. After disassembly and inspection, it was found that the cylinder block and cylinder head were deformed. The flatness error of the cylinder block was 50um, which also met the technical requirements. However, the flatness error of the cylinder head reached 0.2mm, which is the reason why the cylinder head gasket was damaged by this error.

How can we solve this problem?

Since there is no concave shape of the combustion chamber on the cylinder head, there is no need to consider the change of the combustion chamber volume (although the change of the combustion chamber volume should generally not be greater than 4% of the original volume), first use the plane to sharpen the cylinder head plane, and then on the cylinder head Install a copper pad (the thickness of which is 1.2 times the thickness of the recessed platform of the water channel) at the waterway opening on the joint surface of the cylinder body. Replace the original sealing rubber, and then install the cylinder gasket. At the same time, use the method of first cold tightening and then hot tightening to tighten the cylinder head bolts and eliminate the faults of the cylinder gasket.
